Expedition Packs

The Hesston Public Library is pleased to provide adult patrons and their guests with an opportunity to visit some of the museums, zoos, and parks in Kansas for FREE. This program is designed to engage adults, children, and families in art, history, science, technology, and literacy learning. A generous donation from the Charlotte Jost trust provided the funding for this program.

Cosmosphere space museum (Hutchinson)
- All-Access passes for 4 visitors

- Premium admission for 3 adults + all children under 18
Hesston Golf Course (Hesston)
- 4 players: free driving range & putting green // $25 green fees (18 holes, includes cart & range balls)
Museum of World Treasures (Wichita)
- admission for 2 adults +all children age <18

Patrons must be at least 18 years old to check out an Expedition Pack.

You can check our Calendar of available dates. To reserve a date, please contact the library at 620-327-4666 or email hplnotifications@gmail.com. Please note, reservations submitted via email may take several hours to process, depending on staff workload. For immediate reservations, please call.

We request patrons have packs for no more than 3 days – a day to pick up the pack, a day to use the pack, and a day to return the pack – especially during busier seasons. However, packs may be checked out up to 5 days.

Patrons are limited to one pack at a time per adult card.
Patrons may use packs multiple times.
Patrons may reserve packs for back-to-back days, as long as there is no more than one pack checked out at a time. Patrons may also request reservations of more than one pack in one email or phone call.

Packs may be returned either at the front desk or through the exterior drobox near the front entrance.

Yes. Late fees of $5 per day apply to Expedition Packs. If a pack is not returned within 1 week of the due date, your account will be assessed the full value of the membership in addition to the daily late fees.
