Mission Statement:
The Hesston Public Library is a safe, welcoming place to connect people to information, ideas and one another for enjoyment and lifelong learning.
The Hesston Public Library is committed to meeting the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of its patrons. We strive to provide services, resources and programs to meet those needs.
We have a physical collection of about 40,000 items, including books, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs, board games, toys, fishing poles, hand tools, museum passes, WiFi hotspots, and more. We offer free wireless internet access, seven patron computers, two children’s computers, and access to other resources through the Sunflower eLibrary and the Kansas State Library. Our community room and study rooms are available for anyone in the community to reserve free for non-commercial purposes.
We were named the Best Small Library in Kansas by the Kansas Library Association in 2015, and a Four Star Library in America by Library Journal in 2020.
